Seems believable. Her movie Queen of the Damned was a highly ritualized part of her death which this clip doesn’t cover at all surprisingly.
I’ve always thought this. Bey highly benefitted from Aaliyah being gone. In the past 20 years ALL of Beys contemporaries have been eliminated leaving her as the only female R&B star still standing.
Bey got movies and clothing ads and filled the Aaliyah hole, so to speak.
