It’s funny because girls literally do get “erections”. It’s called a Clitoral Erection. Either you’re a guy who’s never made a girl excited, or a girl who hasn’t been taught enough about your own body.

Seriously. I’m a childbirth educator, and while I strongly disagree with the AAP and the medical establishment in general about many issues (circumcision, vaccines, C-section rates, etc), it is true that female genital tissue also becomes “erect” as it engorges during arousal.
Perhaps 9-12 is a bit young for the target audience, but girls (and boys) have been woefully undereducated about female anatomy for far too long.
There are probably a number of questionable items in this guide, but the topic of this post is not one of them.
I’m glad someone else realizes that.
