So they are admitting the method acting used to prepare for a role is what makes them even more delusional then they were in previous eras. I can now understand why actors like Dwayne Johnson will choose crappy action/comedy movies with high pay and a generic plot then a role that you actually have to study for and would make a good movie.
“The drive, work and confluence of circumstances that it takes to get there are otherworldly.” They got the “otherworldly” part right.
Great topic! Many actors have spoken about how they open themselves up to “muses” for inspiration. Or how they let a muse take over their body during performances. I believe they are opening themselves up to demons. Not only are they opening themselves up to the evil side of the spiritual realm, they are pretending to be someone they are not, for extended periods of time. Depending on how many movies or TV shows they participate in, some actors live in a near-constant state of delusion. They lose touch with reality, and who they truly are. I believe that our mental and spiritual health is affected as well, depending on how much and what type of entertainment we chose to take part in. I’ve found it’s better not to watch the majority of what is produced. The old expression of, “garbage in, garbage out”, is true.
